College Baseball: Dylan Adamek, Texas State

Dylan Adamek pitched one inning, striking out one and allowing no earned runs Thursday in Texas State's 10-4 loss at Northwestern State. Adamek graduated from Pasadena Memorial High School in 2008.

A 2008 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School Adamek played on two district championship teams for coach Mike Morgan. As a senior 2007-2008 he went 8-2 with a 1.20 ERA on the mound to earn unanimous all-district first-team honors in addition to second-team all-Houston recognition. Amanda Nguyen went 1 for 3 in West Point's 9-1 loss to Marist College on Thursday. Nguyen is a 2010 graduate of Dobie High School.

Nguyen played at Dobie high school for coach Robin Rackley in 2006-2010. In 2009 Nguyen earned two All-State honors from the Texas Girls' Coaches Association and the Texas Sportswriters Association. She was team captain in 2009 and 2010 and a Second-Team selection as a sophomore. Nguyen was a three-time All-District selection and earned First-Team accolades. Asai Adame went 2 for 5 and scored a run in Houston Baptist University's 6-4 win at NYIT on Thursday. Adame graduated from Dobie High School.

Adame is a 2008 graduate of Dobie High School where he was a four-year starter and four-year letter winner for coach Ron Grant. As a senior (2007-2008) he earned All-District honors. A business management major at Houston Baptist, he is the son of Luis and Diana Adame. Read more...
