Girls compete in sailing race in La Porte

Ninety-three girls ages 8 to 15 competed in the USODA Girls National Championship yesterday, July 20.
The competition consisted of three races with Audrey Giblin of Shrewsury Sailing & Yacht becoming the national champion. Martina Sly of Lauderdale Yacht Club earned second place, and the Sophia Sole from the Houston Yacht Club placed third.

Today, after opening ceremonies, over 260 youths from five countries will begin the four day competition of the USODA National Championship.
These events are part of the OPTI National Championships which will conclude on July 24.
