Gas prices in and around the Pasadena area were lower compared to the averages for Texas, Houston and the country as a whole this week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.
Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 89 gas stations in and around Pasadena, Deer Park and La Porte. As of Saturday, May 26, the average price of regular unleaded gas in the Pasadena area is $3.428 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.443, Houston average at $3.498 and the nationwide average at $3.661.
The average gas price in the Pasadena area last week was $3.523 per gallon.
The least expensive gas price in the Pasadena area is reported to be $3.19 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which a gasbuddy.com contributor logged as being available at Jack's Fuel Depot, 5912 Red Bluff Road and Olson Lane, and Fuel Express, 5010 Red Bluff and Tamar.
A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.69, which was being sold at Exxon, 1901 E. Battleground Road and East X Street.
