Sam Rayburn High releases 2012 football schedule

Sam Rayburn kicks off its 2012 football season at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, at home against Porter.

The Texans next have a 7 p.m. game on Friday, Sept. 7 at Lee, followed by a trip back home at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 against Northbrook. They will travel for a 7 p.m. game on Friday, Sept. 28 at Alvin, before concluding the season's first half with a 6 p.m. home matchup on Thursday, Oct. 4 against Pearland.

The season's second half opens for Rayburn with a 6 p.m. road game on Saturday, Oct. 13 at South Houston, followed by a trip back home and a 7 p.m. meeting on Friday, Oct. 19 with rival Pasadena Memorial. A 7 p.m. road contest on Friday, Oct. 26 at Manvel is next, with the final home game at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1 against Dobie. The season concludes at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 with a trip to Pasadena.
